Welcome to the Wheel Inn Chalets Tour

In designing this site we figured the best way to
show you around was to mainly use photos.
So please bear with us whilst all the photos load up.
They may take a while but as the saying goes.
A picture paints a thousand words!
The picture above shows Chalet 1 with chalet 2 to the right.
We are lucky here in that we are in a very sheltered position in the lee of the Ben Wyvis range. All the weather seems to hit the mountains and we tend to be quite dry in comparison to the rest of the Highlands. Most of the bad weather comes in off the Atlantic and hits the west coast.
In fact the official area of lowest rainfall in the Highlands is Tarbatt Ness just up the coast from us.
We're never saying we dont get rain. After all this is still the UK but your less likely to have a spoiled holiday with us than if you stayed in Fort William for instance. With this in mind we have introduced a range of assorted family and child video's availble for guests to borrow free of charge.
We know of people who've gone home with "It rained all week horror stories!!" Next time you hear that just ask them where they stayed? We bet you it was the West Coast!
So, as you can see from these 3 pictures we have built a small play area for the kids. There's a tree house and tyre swing for them. You can let them play whilst you take advantage of our barbecue and picnic benches.

The grounds to the rear of the chalets enjoy a superb view over the Cromarty firth towards the Black Isle.
You can just see the water in the picture on the right here.
The picture on the left here is taken from the kitchen in chalet1. All chalets have been recently refurbished and re-decorated. All sleep 4-6 with 2 main bedrooms. One has a pine double bed and the 2nd has 2 pine single beds.
There is also a pine/futon sofa bed in the front room
(seen here in orange on the left).

Each chalet has a small bathroom with either a shower cubicle or bath/shower. Kitchens have kettle, microwave, toaster, oven or toaster oven.
The lounge has a colour Tv, Freeview, video
recorder and stereo.
Since the chalets are situated in the grounds to the Wheel Inn we have loads of parking.

So if you'd like to share a holiday with another couple dont worry there's loads of parking for everyone.
Dont just think of us as a summer holiday destination either. We stay open all year round and we stay busy usually up until the end of November and we are then busy for Christmas and New Year. It's very popular around that time of year. So if you are interested you'll have to make sure you book early.
Inside the Chalets
Next on the tour we have some even bigger pictures of the inside of the chalets. These ones will take a bit longer to download so we've put these on another page for you to look at.

"We've seen eagles, kites, dolphins, seals, loads of rabbitts and next doors baby ducks. It's been a great holiday and the kids have loved it. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for everything." E.J. Halifax.
